Added goats to our life!

Hi everyone! We have added 2 Nigerian Dwarf Goats to our Bon Temps Hobby Farm. They are so sweet and precious. We want to add more animals this spring as the weather warms up after winter too. Meat rabbits, meat chickens and turkeys! I want to be where we don't buy any meat from the grocery store! Everything is getting so expensive!

Will be posting pictures soon of everyone!

Till later, Wendy

Hello everyone

Hi there. Well it is hot, but at least not as hot as it has been. Thank goodness!
Still being a stay at home mom. We did buy a camper and went on our first trip to Arkansas in July. We loved it. We went to Petit Jean Mountain. 35 miles northwest of Little Rock. It was so beautiful!! We want to go back when the leaves are changing maybe next year :-) That will be neat to see and won't be humid :-) So that will be nice :-) There was so much to do up there. We saw a Automobile Museum, A petting farm, and went out to eat on the mountain at Mather's Lodge, we went on hiking trails too. LOVED IT!!! I need to add pictures too :-)
Take care,
Wendy

Hate being sick!

Photobucket">Photobucket" border="0" alt="" />

Hi everyone, I have been sick. I had planned on getting on here every other day at least. But I have been sick with strep thorat and then had to go back to the doctor because my thorat started hurting again. Man the cost of medicine and docotr's thank God for insurance!! I hope all of you have been well, here in Louisiana we have had some crazy weather!

My last day of work was last Tuesday, I am now a stay at home mom again! I missed my kids and being there and doing things for them! I don't know if I mentioned it but we have chickens and a peacock and of couse I have my dachshund too, little Roux. I just love her! She has been the best dog, I have had dogs since I was a baby. But she has been the best, I pray she stay's with us a long long time. Speaking of her, today is bath day for her. She won't care for that to much either! Poor thing, but living inside she has to have a bath weekly. We live in the country with 13 acres and our land backs up to the National Forest. So I have to have her bathed weekly. I don't want a flea or tick problem. That is a good thing about chickens. They will eat ticks!! Sounds disgusting, but what a trade, ticks for eggs! Well they get to eat them when I let them free range. I have put up some pictures of my chickens. Well I better go for now and get my kids some breakfast. I hope yall have a great day.
Till later, Wendy!

Enjoying my children while they are little.

Hi my name is Lea and I live in Central Louisiana. I am the mother of four, three girls and one boy. Being a mom is allot of work. I had been a stay at home mom for the past three years and decided to go back to work. This was a very difficult decision for us. My husband works offshore for a service company and his schedule is never a set one. His time home varies. So I made the leap and went back to work in November as a Medical Transcripitionist. But I recently gave my two week notice and my last day will be this Tuesday. It is hard to work full time with my husband being gone so much. I miss my children and want to spend more quality time with them and my husband. I am trying right now to see about doing some typing at home part time. That would be nice to bring in a little extra money for what we want to do for fun. My children's ages vary from 13 years old to 2 years old. My husband and I want to buy an RV and go on trips when he his home and make memories for our children by taking them to see different things. I think this will be fun and exciting for us all. Neither of us has ever been in a RV but with four children we feel this will be best way to travel and less expensive than hotel rooms and food for all of us!
I hope you have enjoyed a little in site into my life. Please stay tuned and I will tell you about the animals we raise. Yeah, that made it hectic to, to raise these animals and work full time :-)

Have a great day, Wendy
